Patients with terminal diagnoses can often benefit from creative art therapies designed to ease discomfort and improve communication. Music therapy, combined with the medical attention and interventions of the hospice team, can help improve a patient’s quality of life by helping relieve symptoms and reducing stress, anxiety and agitation. At Gilchrist Hospice Care, our board certified music therapist will use everything from listening to performing to writing and recording music in an effort to meet the social, emotional, physical, spiritual and/or cognitive needs of the patient and family.

  • Lyric analysis
